Almost every business professional will tell you that if your business is not on the internet, it is not good for you as a business owner in this day and age of the Information Super Highway.  So we all want to rush out and get us a website.  Well before you decide to get a website there a few things that you should consider:

*      What are your goals for your website?  This will determine how much money you should spend on your site.  A website can cost anywhere form $50 to $150,000,000.

If you are only going to use your site to give out information, then you really should not spend thousands of dollars on a website.  You can get a simple site for about $150 dollars.

If you want to have site that you can sell a few products on and you want to accept credit cards, then you will spend about $300 -$950.

If you want an interactive site where people can come and chat and meet, then expect to spend some thousands.

If you want to have a site where you advertise for other individuals that have businesses in your field, this to will cost you a few thousands

If you want a fully functional e-commerce site, then expect to spend even more thousands.

The most important thing to consider about getting a website is do you have a budget to advertise and market your site?  Just because you have site don’t that people will come to your site.  You have to market your site hard and heavy in order to get people to come, then you have to have things on your site that will make them come back again and better yet things that will make them buy from you.

I hope this information was helpful.
