Planning Your Marketing Strategy

Everybody who has a business knows that you can have the best product in the world, but if no one knows about it, you will never sell it.  So you as a business owner have to develop a marketing plan that will be effective and within your budget. 

 

I recently had to develop a marketing campaign for a client of mine, who has just finished writing her first book.  She was able to get financial backers who liked her book and are willing to provide her with the necessary money to get it off the ground.  One of the things I found to be very helpful in developing the marketing campaign was the use of a marketing calendar.

 

A marketing calendar is a tool that breaks down how you will market, who you will market to, how much it will cost, when you will market and how many potential customers you will reach.

 

The best way to set up your marketing calendar is to make a table and put in your sub-titles for each section.  You will find that this is a very good way to get the maximum exposure for your budget.
