About A.J. Kearney

Audrey Bell-Kearney, Author, Publisher, Radio Show Host.

Audrey (A.J.) Bell-Kearney is the owner of Sister INC. which is located in Maplewood, NJ .  Sister INC. is network for women who want to start and expand a business.   Sister Inc network distributes training and information through its' E-Magazine, Internet Radio Show, Workshops, Networking Functions Articles and Free Tele-Seminars.

A.J. has always wanted to own her own business.  Although English was not her favorite subject while she was in school, she has a great love for books.

In 1998 she co-authored The Cookbook To Romance with two friends.  After the book was published, she knew that she wanted to continue in the publishing field.  But she took a detour to start another business.  In 1999 She had an idea to create a full-figured fashion doll.  She told her friend Georgette who became her partner in the company they formed called Big Beautiful Dolls, Inc.  In late 1999 a new dimension was added to the doll world.  A.J. and her partner Georgette introduced for the first time the first full-figured fashion dolls, Dasia (African American), Dena(Latina) & Dawn(Caucasian). A.J. knew that starting a business would be hard, but after careful research, she decided that she could do it.

She resigned from her job at Verizon Phone Company and took on a paper route getting up at 3:30 am in the morning to make her deliveries of the daily paper to homes in her area.  She would be finished with her deliveries around 5am.  She would then go home lie down until time to get her daughter Dominique ready for school.  After she took her daughter to school, she would come back home and start her day off researching her business idea and attending networking events.  Although this was a grueling process, A.J. was determined to do what she wanted to do, which was start her own business.  After being without health benefits for about a year, A.J.s’ daughter got sick and had to go to the ER. A.J. decided to get the medical assistance from Welfare to make sure that she and her daughter had medical coverage.

After a lot of struggling and a grueling schedule, the dolls became a hit in the doll world.  A.J. and her partner was able to get over $25,000 in free publicity.  They were written up in national magazines, interviewed on television shows, spoke about on radio shows and written about on websites.

Mrs. Bell-Kearney does not suggest that any quit a job to start a business right away if they do not have at least 6 months worth of money saved to cover expenses and start-up costs. Her dislike with her job and her desire to be a business owner led her that way.  It has not been easy, but it is a labor of love for her.

A.J. has written 4 books.  The ABC’s Of Self-Publishing, How To Start & Run A Successful Home-Based Business With A Little Bit Of Money,  Success Is A Matter Of Choice & A Mustard Seed Of Faith  and her latest How To Become A 6 Figure Sister. S.

Sister INC is dedicated to helping women who have started their own business and those looking to start their own business.

Mrs. Bell-Kearney’s advice to entrepreneurs is simply this:  “Do you what you love.  Plan, research and plan some more.  Surround yourself with positive people and enhance your business skills.  You will have to take risks if you plan on being a business owner just make sure that they are risks that will help you move your business forward.
